Searching Spock/Kirk fic

Hey! I read this phenomenal piece of fiction a while back and can't find it now. It's about Spock and Kirk as kids growing up and a bond develops, but there is some miscommunication and it ends up being removed. Unfortunately, Jim ends up holding onto it from his end and it makes him ill - so ill he's on the verge of death. So Spock gets a clue and saves him by re-bonding with him. That's a terrible synopsis considering how beautiful the story really was, but can anyone help me find it? Thanks!
