Reboot - Mind Meld

Looking specifically for good stories which deal with the aftermath of the mind meld between Spock Prime and young Kirk in the 2009 movie.  I know I've read one or two in the past but cannot remember titles or authors.  Any suggestions?  In particular I have a vague memory of a story set shortly after the events of the reboot movie - possibly even as the crippled Enterprise makes its way back to earth wherein Kirk is struggling with the memories stuck in his mind after the meld on Delta Vega and Spock Prime and/or the younger Spock must help rid him of those memories.  Does that sound familiar to anyone?

This is not the one that is stuck in my head, but thank you. I believe the one I'm thinking of took place during the trip home to earth after they ejected the warp core and Spock Prime had a definitive role in the story. I appreciate all the efforts to help me find it though.
