Late to the celebration - K/S 2009-verse

Hi, I'm looking for a story where the Enterprise is specifically requested for some coronation, but Spock falls ill (ponfarr?) and needs to be taken to the new Vulcan homeworld, and there is not enough time.  Kirk is ordered (I think?) to send Spock off, but disobeys.  The Enterprise turns up just before the ceremony/celebration ends, and it turns out that the warrior culture is impressed that Kirk cares more for the lives of his people than turning up to a coronation.

I think this may have been one part of a larger story?  Maybe?  And it's entirely possible, even probable that it's Kirk/Spock.
