kirk/spock mind meld and bonding Found!

Hi All

I was reading The Baseball series by Kyliselle and the description of the bond in that fic reminded me of another story. All I can remember is that when Kirk and Spock mind meld their bond looks like a ship flying through space. I think Jim's mind is the ship and the space is Spock. Unfortunately i can't remember anything else except that I think it was a long story and pretty well known. I've looked through several rec lists but no luck recognizing it. I know it isn't much to go on but I'm hoping recognizes it.
