Kirk/Spock

Two requests:

1. I'm reading The T'Varon Chronicles by Gloria Fry, where Kirk is the first human to serve on an all Vulcan ship and Spock is the science officer on the ship too. Are there any other fics with this theme, K/S with Kirk serving on an all Vulcan ship? TOS is preferred, but reboot is okay if Kirk and Spock don't have an antagonistic relationship the entire time.


2. Also, any TOS academy fics where they are students?

There is an old zine story, Broken Images by Beverly Sutherland, which is TOS - Kirk ends up in an A/U where Vulcans are dominant and the ship captain is Spock. I'm not sure though whether it's online.

I'm pretty sure The Exile by Elise Madrid has them serving on a Vulcan ship. Or at least one of the fics in that series.

For the second, have you read Shatner's Collision Course novel? It's not K/S, obviously, but it's all about them meeting as teenagers and joining Starfleet (and foiling some giant conspiracy together). I really enjoyed it.

'Star Born'
This is a story of conspiracy and revenge. After an attack on the Enterprise is dealt with, Spock visits Starfleet Academy. He reminisces about the problems he faced as the first Vulcan cadet there, his meeting and budding friendship with Kirk and their uncovering of a plot against Starfleet and the Federation.

I really enjoyed this one:

Sometimes the other Vulcans wonder how Spock managed to obtain such an exotic bondmate, and sometimes Spock wonders himself.

It's really different from a lot of other stuff I've read, with excellent characterizations.
