Looking for ST 2009 Bones centric fic about aviophobia

A short while ago, I was telling my best friend and fellow trekkie about this fanfiction I once read and she wanted to read it as well. But herein lies the issue: I can’t remember what it was titled and where I read it.

I want to say that I found it on http://kirk-mccoy.livejournal.com/ but don’t hold me to that. I also have a very vague sense of plot so I’ll try to explain it. It’s a ST 2009 fic set at the academy and it’s definitely a Bones central fic. From what I remember, Bones is still dealing with his aviophobia and there may have been an incident where it got him in trouble. Well he decides that if he’s going to go into outer space he better get the hell over his fear and since he has some therapy training (being a doctor and all) he starts a support group for fellow aviophobics. Doing so not only helps the other students but eventually allows Bones to also get the help and support he needs.

I’m probably missing a lot of details, but if you wrote the piece or may have read it and know the title, I would greatly appreciate it if you let me know!

I took a look at the link you provided and I'm afraid that's not it. However, I think I'll definitely read that series!

After looking at the link, it triggered a few more things: if there were chapters, there only a few and I do rember that there was no relationship with Jim beyond friendship (at least, I'm pretty sure). And I also want to say that I don't think it was in a series.

Reading your description Mijan's academy series comes to mind. I think it sounds like the second one in the academy series. You could also check the kirk macoy archive for academy era stories
