Spock with skin pigmentation

I was just reading another fic that reminded me of a story where Uhura broke up with Spock because he had unusual skin pigmentation (a birth defect) over a lot of his skin. The only thing else I remember is that it was k/s.

got it! it's called 'damaged goods' by corpus_invictus (http://corpus-invictus.dreamwidth.org/4096.html). Could I possible ask which fic reminded you of it? I think i'd like to read it. :)

It was a throwaway line in this fic (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/7959874/1/Sulu-You-Fool), About Uhura and Spock breaking up because Uhura wasn't ready to settle down. The pigment skin fic just flashed at me for a second, but the fics are nothing alike :)
