I only remember that Kirk was named head of a new clan on New Vulcan. And that McCoy, because he got bonded to a Vulcan, was included in Kirk's clan.
And McCoy has to call Kirk Elder...

I think it's AOS.
And probably Kirk/Spock...

That's about all I remember :-(

I specifically remember that McCoy is inducted in Kirk's clan, as are several non-Vulcans on the planet.

That sounds like something from CMM at KS Archive. With over 250 stories it's hard to find the right one quickly.
Did Kirk get to be a leader because he was Spock Prime's heir and did Spock step down as heir to is clan in favour of his father's new baby but Kirk & Spock's child ended up an heir through Kirk?
