I'm in the mood for some extreme whumpage of Jim and/or Spock - any recs? I'm more partial to Reboot, but I'll take anything, preferably pairing these two as well.

Just read this one (Kirk/Spock):

While a deadly disease incapacitates the Enterprise, an old enemy of Jim's forces him to remember his time on Tarsus IV. Spock finds Kirk's pain unacceptable.  Explicit (mostly b/c of graphic torture and not as graphic rape).  66k words.  Complete.  LOADS of h/c, heavy on the hurt.  Not for the faint of heart, but very intense and well-written.

Here are a couple others I found by looking for 'torture' under my Spirk bookmarks on AO3, although neither is quite as explicit as 1lostone's story.  And while I was in my bookmarks, and I find this to be hilarious, I found the fic I posted about yesterday (http://st-ficfinder.livejournal.com/705354.html?thread=2434890#t2434890), and IT'S ANOTHER BY THIS AUTHOR (http://archiveofourown.org/works/182891)!!!!  So look, a good turn went rewarded positively.  I'm so happy.  Anyway, these are the ones I found:

Kirk is terribly tortured by Nero, although the story picks up just as he regains consciousness.  "Kirk saves Vulcan from Nero at high cost to himself. It falls to Spock to pick up the pieces." Simply beautiful... an AU where we find Jim recovering on Vulcan as a planetary hero after having been captured and terribly tortured by Nero. The slow growth of his relationship with Spock takes into account their utterly alien backgrounds, and the fact that they'd barely known each other for hours before Nero got Jim.

Alien Anatomy (http://archiveofourown.org/works/652113) by Sangwin (http://archiveofourown.org/users/Sangwin/pseuds/Sangwin) Mature.  14k words.  Complete.

This is another off-screen torture one, this time with Spock, and focuses more on the PTSD and slow growth of trust and friendship.  "Spock matriculates to Starfleet Academy with a mysterious past and an uncertain future. An unexpected roommate and a (somewhat) unprovoked bar fight are just the research opportunities needed for Spock, Kirk and even McCoy to learn the exact location of an alien heart."  Acadamy!Spock, dealing with aftermath of torture and timidly making friends. Gut wrenching, heart-warming and also (sometimes) funny. Spock's POV is perfect.

I just finished reading "Cast Out Fear" which is what made me make this request, LOL. And "Alien Anatomy" is an old favorite - we are brain twins, I think. I'll read the other one you reference too, though - thanks so much!

And yes - you caught me, LOL (I'm rabidchild67 on tumblr and AO3). My kid!spirk will post on Feb 11 - it's part of a big bang challenge - so stay tuned.

Ah, jeez, I just got caught up in this one, which has ENORMOUS Spock!whumpage (includes rape, so proceed with caution), and she's got another with blind!Spock and more trauma and whumpage.
