Competentence kink, nu!crew

So...does anyone know of any stories that take place after Nero or Into Darkness where the crew comes across another (older, more contemptuous) crew/ship and end up earning their respect for their competence?

Basically, I want a fic where the crew kicks ass in the face of doubters.

If the story heavily features Kirk (or best of all, smart!Kirk), that would be awesome. Not sure how to tag this.
