Post-Narada fic with Vulcans setting up temporary quarters in the Sahara

Hello again everyone :)

Okay, two requests (sort of):

1) As usual, I've no clue about the name or author, but here's the scenario: After the Narada Mission, Vulcans were given refuge on Earth. I remember them being offered the Sahara Desert as a temporary living space. It was constantly described as 'one of the last pristine places on Earth' or something along the lines. The humans were covered from head to toe, in an act of respect and cultural sensitivity. Which of course, backfired in the form of heat exhaustion and the like. I remember one scene with Jim in particular, McCoy was fussing about grumpily. All in all, awesome people on both sides, as far as I remember.

2) If anyone has heard of similar stories with excellent diplomatic relations and general compatibility between the two species (pre/post Narada or even TOS or AU, I'm not picky), I'll be grateful if you could point me to them

Thanks very much! You've listed some excellent fics, Coming Home is an absolute favourite of mine. I'm afraid I've read them all, though. This is the problem with being an overzealous K/S fan, I'm exhausting the fic supply! *sigh* I'll just read Debt of Honour again. Thanks a lot for taking the time :)
