Just curious if there's any fic out there where Khan was present at the tragedy of Tarsus IV when Jim Kirk was there. It doesn't have to be slash, but if it is I don't care (although that would be more than a little creepy, since Jim was a young teenager then). Basically, I'm looking for fic where maybe Marcus or whoever found Khan earlier in the Reboot, and somehow he winds up on Tarsus IV (because he was sent there to stop Kodos or oversee the rescue or whatever), eventually runs into Jim who's traumatised at this point, from the recent events as well as his abusive and/or neglectful family, and there's bonding and hurt/comfort. I want a Khan who's disgusted by Kodos really, because I see the latter as a pale imitation of what Khan was.
Or, if no such fic exists, how about a canon!Reboot Khan who finds out about what Jim survived on Tarsus IV and is pissed off, empathetic or protective? Slash and non-slash.

In TOS and AOS, Khan never struck me as the kind of character who would harm a child on purpose, or allow such to be done in his name. So I think if he had one there, saw that 4,000 people had been killed, likely a lot of them elderly or prepubescent, I think he would have gone postal and tracked down Kodos and his supporters and taught them what Eugenics was really supposed to be.
Damn. I might have to write a little of this now, even if I don't post it right away.

History is written by the victors, and ultimately, Khan and his people were not said victors. I see him as Trek's version of Richard III - that man was actually a good king, the first one to have laws posted in English so ALL his subjects (not just the upper class) could read them. Moreover, Parliament had already declared the his nephews the Princes illegitimate AGES before they went missing, so there was no reason for him to murder them. He did other positive things as well, but he was defeated by his enemies, so all we know of him is the bad. And all rulers are guilty of good and bad things, burden of being a leader. Anyway, Khan, to me, is like that. I don't envision him applauding Kodos, especially once he sees the results on poor Jimmy.
Haha, if you write it, I would love you forever! This has been something on my mind incessantly and I am getting a bit desperate to see it.
