Found - Kirk/Spock, meet at the Academy

Hi,

Awhile back I read an Abramsverse fic in which Kirk and Spock meet whilst Kirk is in the Academy (pre-STXI). At some point Spock accidentally touches Jim...I think they were working out together at the gym? Or maybe sparring. Anyway, when Spock touches Jim he realizes that they are t'hy'la and takes his leave rather abruptly, leaving Jim wondering what happened. Later, Spock explains things to Jim and tells him he wants to begin a relationship with him, culminating in going to Vulcan to formalize the bond between them. Jim has some trauma in his past and while he is attracted to Spock and wants to be with him, he is nervous about having all of his thoughts and memories open to Spock. They do end up going to Vulcan and completing the bond.

I've read a ton of ST fic in the past few months and I'd really like to find this particular one again so I can properly bookmark it this time. :) If anyone could point me to this fic I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks so much!

That's a fantastic fiction, I think likely the one that really grabbed me and kept me reading Trek fanfic!
