Spock has to choose

I feel like these kind of fics must be out there.  I've probably read a good number of them.  But none are coming to mind at this moment.

Are there any fics which make Spock literally choose between Kirk and Uhura?  Like space baddies capture both and tell Spock to pick one or they both die...and he picks Jim?  And then maybe they rescue Uhura anyway and then she and Spock have a discussion about duty and how the captain's life and freedom is, very regrettably, more essential to Starfleet and regulations required him to choose the captain.  And Uhura understands, she does, but she doesn't think that Spock is admitting - even to himself - other factors which went into his decision.  And she still loves him, but maybe realizes that as much as it kills her, she and Spock aren't meant to be...

errr.  Or something like that.

Either I've subconsciously stolen someone else's plot, or I've accidentally written an outline.

Seriously though, any fics where Spock chooses Jim?  Any scenario where he's with Uhura but forced to choose - and does choose Jim - I'd love to take a look at.
