oh, jeez, this is so ridiculous but this is what I have. I read about the first paragraph of a story a couple of weeks ago (between Memorial Day weekend and the beginning of June, I think?)and made a mental note to go back to it, THOUGHT I bookmarked it in delicious, but nope - it's just gone.

It's post-movie (reboot). It starts, I believe, with Kirk regaining consciousness in the infirmary, he has a little mind-meld flashback to TOS Kirk and Spock, and pulls 2009-Spock in for a kiss. Then he remembers who he is, etc. I don't think it was slash, despite this beginning; I seem to remember the blah blah at the top being something like "Spock/Uhura, Kirk" and I'm pretty sure it was a genfic. Any thoughts? It's going to be one of those "I know it when I see it" stories, but I'm hoping with this shiny new fandom, someone will recognize it.

Do you remember how you found it? Was it via a delicious link, a rec from your flist, or a specific comm? I've got about 50 Spock/Uhura (http://delicious.com/ljc/trekfic+spock%2Fuhura) links saved, if you want to try and hit those from the date range? Also, is it possible your browser still has it in the History?

I have no idea, and it's definitely not in my browser history. (It's possible I saw it at lunch on a workday, and that browser clears history cookies etc every time I close it.)
