looking for a fic

I've been looking for this story for a while now but can not find it! It's where Kirk takes Pike up on his dare to join star fleet. And Pike assigns Spock to make sure he makes it with in the three year time fame that Kirk advised he could complete the academy in. I believe Kirk and Spock get together in the fic and Mccoy is also in it.

If I like a story I'll read it a couple of times I known I've been looking for it on off for over a year now.

I also remember that Kirk does not what to be any trouble to Spock or any one else, and tells Spock he doesn't have to help him.
