2 fic im looking for both reboot i think

In this story which was quite long and maybe recent, Spock and Jim are mentally bonded ( not by choice i think) and Sarek has some Vulcan Elders dissolve the bond. Afterwards it appears Jim is still suffering and Spock does a mind meld with him and finds him in pain with the bond "thread" burning around his waist??

This was a one shot if i remember correctly. Jim is visiting Spock Prime while Spock and Nyota visit with Sarek ( they may have been maybe about to bond) Jim is angsty cos he is not as close to his Spock as he would have liked to have been (and maybe jealous of Spock and Nyota relationship), and Spock Prime trying to reasure him that there is still time. it ends with a frantic knocking on Primes door.

Any ideas?? I did read the first one about a month ago but im not sure where.
