Looking for a specific Kirk/Spock Bonding Fic

I read this story a few months ago but can't remember much apart from one particular scene. It's Kirk/Spock set during and possible before Into Darkness. In the fic Spock somehow forms a bond with Jim (I don't remember how) but doesn't tell him. The scene that I remember is after the mission to Nibiru when Jim finds out in Pike's office that Spock put the stuff about violating the prime directive into his report. Jim is feeling betrayed and Spock is all mental angst like 'No, no, no! That wasn't what I meant!'

Unfortunately I don't remember what anything else about the fic. If this sounds familiar to anyone I'd love it if you could point me in the right direction!
