Bonding Fics

I've been looking for a specific fic for a while, I post every couple months in hopes someone's found it. All I remember is that Kirk and Spock are bonded, and Spock goes off to pursue Kolinahr. While trying to achieve it, he has to try and break the T'hy'la bond, and the effort gives Jim headaches -- the last of which makes him pass out. Unable to break the bond, Spock comes to Iowa and he and Kirk make up.

If you can't find that one, kindly recommend good bonding fics? I love the bond, I've read several good ones like "Shine Like the Sun" and "Tangled Destines" (Kirk as a Betazoid was good, the empathic bond was awesome). Anything that really centers around them being bonded and possible difficulties with it (bond breaking, challanges to the bond, etc) would be welcome.

I thought it might be Renunciation by CMM but in this one is Jim that goes to New Vulcan.

Hi! "Turning Point" and "Full Circle" by Killa involve some of that (bonding/headaches/Jim comes close to passing out) and they are extremely well-written fics. Look for them on the ksarchive!

I'm pretty sure this rec is not the one you're looking for, but it's a pretty good bonding fic with lots of difficulties.
