Anybody who's been following Don't Stop Believingby kianspo, after six long years it's finally finished!

I hope the author finishes Aurora too oh my god. My heart is in perpetual aching over that one. But kudos to her for this!

EDIT: I've only now finished with the entire thing, and thank you for linking the post-fic interlude! Although I have to say, it leaves K and S at a different point than where DNSB left them off. At the end of DNSB, a bond or a rudimentary version thereof has been implied to exist between them already, without Jim knowing. In the interlude, Spock thinks they still aren't ready for the big b word.

Now I have a hankering for a longer epilogue! (Which, too whiny a fangirl i know, but this fic tho!!!)

Having finally finished reading DNSB yesterday (I'd been saving it!) I felt the same.

I chose to interpret the interlude as falling somewhere before the end of DNSB - although I know the story as it's written doesn't allow for it to happen, I also reminded myself that she wrote that interlude in 2010, and while it says "Post Arc V", and she says now the story follows the plan she'd had for it, I can easily see that she wrote a one-off thinking it'd fit into the main story, and in the end it didn't quite. I also imagine she didn't write the end of the main story to revolve around one little short story she wrote five years ago. And she may have planned back then for the final chapters to be numbered past part V, for all I know, instead of ending up 5.1, 5.2 etc.

So I just pretend to myself that it was a little scene that happened somewhere after the Enterprise's return to Earth, and before Nogura's trial. And I just enjoy the humour of Spock introducing Jim to Daniel, and try not to stress about the implications of the bondmate bit.

I do wish she'd post the Interlude to AO3, and I'll suggest it when I review, but she sounds really busy right now, so I guess it's probably not going to be a priority.
