I have a couple...
Date: 2016-03-12 05:53 pm (UTC)A recovery fic that immediately comes to mind is the Twenty-Six and Legend series by llethe: http://archiveofourown.org/series/59348 It's very angsty but I believe by the end there's some actual recovery that occurs lol.
Another is the Transmutation series by Niobium: http://archiveofourown.org/series/62900 I haven't read it in awhile so I don't remember it as well but it sounds like it could be what you're looking for!
