Can u plz suggest me some Star trek fanfics? I've read many but now I cant find what to read!!
I ship Spirk but love Jim/Bones friendship.. I really like loooong fics, mostly includes Enterprise crew, (My favs are Atlas, Veritas, So wise we grow and War games etc etc) and the fanfics in which Jim is shown as intelligent rather than just a playboy!! That said, I can read pretty much everything, except too much rape and its aftermath thingy. If its mentioned or just focused on 1 chapter, that's okay :( Please recommend me lots of fics!!
and I'm looking for littlebirdtold's fanfic Animus.. Author hadn't updated that one on AO3. :( If anyone can provide me its copy, I'll be really grateful ^^

Date: 2016-07-15 05:03 am (UTC)1. Leave No Soul Behind (http://archiveofourown.org/works/187333/) - this is probably in every Spirk rec list ever (the best, imo). But for a good reason! Features Ninja!EMT Captain Spock and Smartypants Jim Kirk in an AOS reboot where Jim didn't join Starfleet.
2. Only Good For Legends (http://archiveofourown.org/series/5363) - a story of how small town repeat offender Jim Kirk meets Detective Spock and saves the world. A+
3. Illogical series (http://archiveofourown.org/series/635) - it's like Trek reboot meets Good Will Hunting and Jim is the janitor cum genius and Spock is the good professor who sees his potential
4. The SIMULATION (http://archiveofourown.org/works/5820931?view_full_work=true) - it's a WIP but it's currently at 180k words, about 3/4 done, and the author regularly updates. SO GOOD. I've said this before: it's like a mix of Veritas and LNSB.
5. Observations (http://anon-j-anon.livejournal.com/136096.html) - damn this fic gave me feelings. I read it only a couple of months ago and damn
6. Tangled Destinies (keiramarcos.com/star-trek/tangled-destinies-ks/) - Kirk is a powerful Betazoid. The fic is only on its first arc but can stand alone.
Yeah you've probably read all of those. I wish there'd be another thylabigbang for more longfics. That said, there are epic TOS Spirk ones that are very good, if you're not averse to reading them!

Date: 2016-07-16 08:55 am (UTC)If you enjoyed So Wise We Grow, then you will like Problem Child (http://ksarchive.com/viewstory.php?sid=4907&warning=1) by TDazz. It's kind of the same story but with Kirk as the biological father.
I will rec every single one of TDazz's fics - they're all on that same site, and I can say easily that she's my standout, all-time favourite ST author - excellent writer, and while I think all her fic is set in Reboot, I often perceive it as TOS, except for the ones where the destruction of Vulcan is explicitly mentioned.
I won't list them all, but my favourites would be Comfort Food, Intimate Knowledge, Little Beastie, The Christmas Song, Winter's Roar (that one especially feels like TOS) and Once Bitten. Seriously, read them all!
My next would be Aconitum Napellus (http://archiveofourown.org/users/AconitumNapellus/pseuds/AconitumNapellus/works?fandom_id=1464&page=1), her work is all TOS, and all excellent, but a warning - several of them contain explicit rape scenes - heed the warnings, and avoid Taken, Found, A Sky of Stars, Plato's Stepchildren and Tomorrow lingers. She favours Hurt!Spock, and has written several excellent fics detailing Spock's blindness after Operation Annihilate. The most recent is Spirk. Her work is generally either Spirk, or Spock/Christine Chapel, with a few Kirk/Spock friendship.
My favourites would be Postmortem (Spirk), Chocolate (short, friendship & comedy), And War's a Bloody Game (friendship, war-zone violence but no rape), and And I am Also Quite Blind (Spirk).
Don't Stop Believing (http://archiveofourown.org/works/306940/chapters/490936) by kianspo is long, beautiful, and finally finished! It starts out very Spock-centric, and later becomes Spirk. Her other work is all good, but this is her masterpiece.
There is a prequel, Chasing The Sunrise (http://archiveofourown.org/works/306907), and a short fic set somewhere in the future of the DNSB universe, The Trouble With Wardrobe (http://kianspo.livejournal.com/50210.html#cutid1)

Home Also I Cannot Go (https://www.fanfiction.net/s/5391402/1/Home-Also-I-Cannot-Go) is a long multi-chapter, begins as Spock-centric and is MPREG - don't be put off by that, it's actually fairly believable and it morphs into Spirk. Unfinished as yet, but recently updated.

Geoffrey M'Benga: Vulcan (Love??) Guru (http://archiveofourown.org/works/3682050) also by WerewolvesAreReal isn't Spirk, but I've included it because it's absolutely hilarious and she's such a wonderful writer.
All her work is worth reading, but be warned, some is quite dark and some contains major character death, read the warnings well.
Divergence (http://archiveofourown.org/works/3327329/chapters/7273328) by 13empress is an excellent, multi chapter fic that's completely engaging.
The Colony War (http://archiveofourown.org/series/347171) series by KaraStorm is TOS Spirk, although her interpretation of a much younger Kirk and Spock who met under different circumstances- TOS AU, if you will. Excellent writing. The third fic in the series is currently incomplete but she's actively updating it at least weekly.
Her other fics are also good, although Marauder contains one scene of rape, well into the story - you'd have warning it was about to happen, if you wanted to start reading it. I do recommend that one. She's also on the KS Archive under the same name.
Vulcans Are Fangirls too (http://archiveofourown.org/works/78007) by jouissant is both amusing and touching.
