daemons, anyone?

are there any fics that are daemon au's? you know, the soul-animals from golden compass.

i'm really interested in how that would work, re: transporters and alien daemons. like do the daemons have to be on the sending pad as well or do they just appear next to their people at their destination? and is spock's a sehlat?

I think that's the only one (in the above comment) but you might check the comm's tag for "crossover: his dark materials" (i.e., golden compass series) and see what else comes up. And I know one author who is planning a fic for this but we'll all just have to cross our fingers she's inspired to work on it soon! hehe
