K/S Bonded at Academy

I'm looking for the fic where Kirk and Spock were bonded already before coming to the academy. I know Kirk had this intricate tattoo on his back, I think that might've happened in a fic that came before the one I'm looking for? Uhura is interested in Spock and is told that he's married but she doesn't believe it, then tries to throw Jim out of his and Spock's place when she finds him there?

I've read a couple before, but I can almost never remember the names of any of the fics I've read unless they're favourited on KS Archive or FF.net.

I've been looking for this fic for a while, I don't remember much other than it was STXI verse, Kirk/Spock and at one point in the story Jim ends up in a minefield that Spock navigates him through over the comms. I believe he navigated him through it using chess moves, as if Kirk were a piece on a chessboard. 

Also I was wondering if anyone knows of/could link me to any fics with Reboot!Kirk/TOS!Spock.

k/s on new vulcan, misunderstanding

hi there

Im pretty sure this is a well known fic.
Kirk and Spock are on New Vulcan and the Vulcans are insulting to Kirk not realising he can speak Vulcan. Spock just ignores thier comments as he too doesnt realise Kirk speaks Vulcan. Kirk is really depressed and I think its Uhura that figures it all out and sets Spock straight.
