startrekficfinderI'm looking for what I think is two different fics, although they may be different parts of the same fic.
1. The first one I'm thinking of has a scene wherein an ex of Jim's wants him back--primarily because he is now a captain--and at one point chases him from the gym to an apartment/dorm where he ends up cowering behind Spock. At a later point, he ends up fighting with the gold digger in front of a whole bunch of random people. I'm pretty sure the fic is K/S, and it takes place at least partly at the Starfleet Academy post-Narada. . When they come back, Scotty throws a fit because the new configuration in Engineering is dangerous -- Found in comments!
2. The second one I'm thinking of involves everyone being busy or gone on shore leave on Earth, and while they're gone, repairs and upgrades are being made to the ship. I'm not sure if someone messes up spectacularly or not and Scotty is upset, but I know that at one point Scotty does his usual anal checking of Engineering once he gets back on the ship and either he or someone else find a bomb down in Engineering. I think a plot to kill Jim (and possibly Spock as well) is uncovered because Jim's replicator is rigged, and I think there's one under his command chair as well. I know Kevin Riley is involved in some way, and I think the plot has something to do with Tarsus IV. That one is also K/S, I believe, post-Narada. It might even be set largely in the TOS 'verse, but I don't think it is. -- Found in comments!
