Sarek ok with Jim/Spock

The story begins as spock/uhura.Early in the story Sarek visits the enterprise and he witnesses uhura being disrespectful to Kirk while Spock stands by. He then asks Spock why he, as first officer, doesn't speak with Uhura about showing proper respect for her captain. I think Uhura ends up having to take sensitivity classes or something. I can mostly only remember the scene with Sarek. I think a friendship starts between Kirk and Spock after Sarek points out some of Kirk's better qualities.

Also, I'm kinda partial to fics where Sarek and Kirk get along well and would welcome any recs in that area. The more interaction between them, the better. I'd apprieciate slash or gen recs for this. Thanks in advance!

This sounds like a good fic but I feel really leery about reading it with Jim paired with an OFC. Is it that pair through the entire fic?

Just finished reading it. Didn't mind the OFC as much as I thought I would. It's actually a pretty adorable fic.
