CONTACT Zines Online
Aug. 24th, 2015 11:08 pmA fanzine rec:
For anyone who's interested, issues 1 - 4 of the iconic TOS zine CONTACT, edited by Bev Volker and Nancy Kippax, are now available online, and in PDF format, here.
They're legitimately posted by Nancy's nephew.
CONTACT was a hurt/comfort zine, gen rather than slash (although I'm told they come pretty close to crossing the line into slash at times).
Bev and Nancy also authored the novel length zine, Home is the Hunter, which as far as I know isn't online anywhere, but is an excellent read if anyone does find it. I used to have a copy, but unfortunately have lost it over the years. It was published as part of CONTACT 5, and then 6, so hopefully will appear online in the future.
Bev Volker passed away early in the new millennium, and Nancy in 2008.
As a teenager trying to find ST info in the Southern Hemisphere, in the 1980's, both of their names were familiar to me from treasured books such as Star Trek Lives.
Just thought they might be of interest.

Date: 2015-09-04 10:55 am (UTC)I have a digital version of Broken Images by Beverly Sutherland. I scanned the original zine, then somebody cleaned up the images and put it all into a fabulous Word document. It has all the original artwork, foreword by author etc.
