Old zine story - probably not online

archant.livejournal.comKirk and Spock are disguised as Romulans to find a something - spy satelilte? - that crashed on a Romulan moon. They need to search a wide area, which just happens to be a mating ritual site - where pairs hunt for each other to prove their worth, or something like that.
Spock is off in the wild as the hunted partner (he's got a detector to find the satellite) and Kirk has to hunt him (using their pre-existing bond?).
Kirk's colouring was not changed - he's still fair, and fair-haired Romulans are usualy considered the lesser, or the hunted partner, not the dominant, or seeker partner. Another of the seekers decide that he wants Kirk.
Could be an existing relationship, could be first time.
