OC based ("elsewhere") fic, human girl betrothed to a vulcan

This fic was pretty old, I believe, I think I might have read it on an independent archive (old fashioned webpage type), which is probably why I'm having trouble finding it.

Basic rundown: the daughter of human archeologist on vulcan gets betrothed to a vulcan boy as a child, vulcan style. I think the boy's father was the girl's father's coworker.
Way later in the story things go awry; I remember that the girl was raped and ended up really insecure about the betrothal. I'm fuzzy on the details, but I think her mother wasn't a shining example for humanity? Oh, and the last bit had the obligatory Pon Farr suspense.

I remember early in the story that the archeologists had found some glass objects (bottles?) and a comment about vulcans making glass very early in their history because they didn't have clay.

There was an eventual happy ending.

It's really bugging me right now, so any help would be appreciated.

FOUND: It was actually on AO3, though the author is old. I had also been reading stuff at House of Tucker at the time, which is probably why I thought I'd read it on an old fashioned archive.

It was originally posted on the old asc Usenet group, and then the Trekiverse archive and a personal website. But then, years after Macedon stopped writing fabric the website went down and Trekiverse was still using 90s-era coding that was really limited and impossible to find anything if you didn't know exactly what you were looking for. (It has since migrated to a more modern archive software.) So for a couple of years, these old fandom classics by Macedon and Peg* were pretty much inaccessible, which I thought was a shame. So when AO3 opened, I tracked down Peg (couldn't find Macedon) and got permission to create accounts for them and upload their fic. They have both stopped by at least once to read and respond to comments, but didn't leave contact information so I could turn over control of the accounts to them.

So that's why you remember reading it on an older archive.

*Peg cowrote the incredible Talking Stick/Circle series with Macedon

Talking Stick is how I think I found this fic! Now that I've thought of it, it's possible I first read it on an old site through the waybackmachine, but I'm a bit too young for anything else and since I'm at 99% sure I first read Talking Stick on ao3, that's probably where I first read this as well.
