I've been reading this awesome fic Xenophobia and I've been wondering if there are any other stories similar to this one out there.

I would love if it featured any of these scenarios:

1) Spock dealing with prejudice in his new work place

2) Spock being given his own ship to command and he takes the chance for whatever reason

3) The rest of the Enterprise missing their First Officer fiercely

4) It would be great if there was a fic where Spock was idolized for who he is (a hero, a famous scientist etc). I would give my firstborn to you if he was idolized by other Vulcans.

I prefer AOS but TOS is also fine. Spirk or Spuhura or gen or whatever, I have no problems at all.

Jim is taking a alien version of the Kobayashi Maru so they would sign some kind of treaty. Jim gets stuck in the program because he won't give up. The rest of the crew comes into the program to help him beat it. I don't think he realizes that they are in there with him. When he gets out the alien say something like they have never seen someone try so hard to save their planet/ship.

I don't remember a lot about this fic but what I do remember is either an assistant to Sarek or Spock Prime is aboard the Enterprise. He says something insulting about Spock and gets punched in the face. I know that is not a lot to go on but I hope that somebody recognizes it.

HI all,
I'm looking for any and all fics where Khan is redeemed in someway-especially ones where the crew discovers he was coerced/forced/abused in some way(more than in the film anyway), and decides to do something about it. I'd love any fics where Khan isn't portrayed as irredeemable, and gets a happy ending-ie, serving on the enterprise to be rehabilitated, becoming friends with the crew, becoming one of the family, etc.

I'm looking for a fic and the only part I remember is it's post narada, the crew arrived back on earth and were sent immediately in to be de-briefed. But Kirk starts throwing up a fit about how they aren't getting food or rest so he starts complaining up the chain of command until he gets to the head person (a woman) and she tells them that she'll do what she can to get the crew food, beds, and showers.

I'm trying to remember a fic I read many years ago. where the entire ship is divided into two teams and have a mock battle across the entire ship. The main thing I remember is that one team took over the computer and set up something like a dual layer encryption so when the other team was hacking into it, they thought they reached the real computer after cracking through the first layer and didn't realize they other team still had full control. It ended with a battle in the bridge, 'course.

I think it was set on Voyager as a way to deal with the tedium of nothing happening for several weeks and also maybe to help the Marquis and Starfleet crew integrate better, although it certainly could have been TOS/Reboot. It was probably part of a larger fic or series.

Anyone recognize this at all? Thanks in advance!

Okay, so this was a reboot fic. I don't remember much, just that they ended up in a situation with a lot of Federation ships, and Kirk was actually the highest ranked officer? I think one part focused on hoe the Enterprize is the flagship of the fleet, with the best and brightest on board. Or I might be mixing up two fics.

Any other fics along these lines are welcome as well!

I'm looking for fics in which Jim is in contact with the people of the Kelvin, or from Tarsus, and he's close to them, like family. I'm looking for fics like Graduate Vulcan by lazulisong or Kirk's Kids by Rose-Aislin. Also that one fic where he has a half-Vulcan baby.

Any fics where he has this extended support network will do. I don't mind any accompanying Whump!Kirk, Tarsus!Kirk or Genius!Kirk. In fact, I'd appreciate it. I also accept K/S or K/Mc but preferably no het?

Hi everyone. I'm trying to find a specific Tarsus fic I read a few months ago. I believe Kirk was at an opening for a museum or memorial for those who died on Tarsus and had to leave the ceremony. Someone followed and was upset at his 'disrespect' not realizing that he was one of the survivors because his name was not listed. I remember the rest of the crew supporting him and keeping the media away once they realized. I's not Recognition by Jademac2442 on FANFIC.NET (although it is an awesome story)

Does anyone recognize the story?

Hello everyone, searching for some themes today, I appreciate your help.

1. Spock Prime fics, especially fics where Kirk is really friendly with him, and everyone else is like "wtf?"

2. A specific fic search. All I remember is that Kirk started to refer to Nero as 'a particularly troubled Romulan.'

3. TOS/AOS crossovers where characters for the AOS 'verse end up in the TOS 'verse. I've read fics where TOS characters end up in the AOs 'verse and now I'm craving some fics with it the other way around.

Slash or Gen preferred, but I'll take het too.

I'm looking for a reboot fic that's probably several years old.

Kirk was stuck in an alien equivalent to the Kobayashi Maru which no one had been able to beat in hundreds of years. The mission was to protect a planet from an alien bombardment and he was stuck because he kept dying and the simulation would automatically re-start when he did.

The entire crew took turns entering the simulation to try to talk him out of it but he didn't recognize them, I think he had some sort of amnesia as part of the test.
Finally he was only able to stop after the main crew joined him in the simulation and they beat it as a team.

Does anyone know this fic? please! I've been searching, literally, for years!

This is definitely an older story, from early on in the reboot fandom. Not sure if it's a short chapter in a longer fic, a side story/sequel in a series, but it definitely had chekov and sulu seconded to another ship for some goodwill/PR/cross training. There was an away mission and Chekhov ended up hacking the con to manage to beam up sulu (irradiated soil and somehow beaming them back not irradiated?) and the captain was all "this is a normal day for you?" and learned respect for those upstart kids. Not sure if it was gen, pre slash or slash but it's been bugging me for days now...

any ideas? I'm almost positive it was one of those longer stories everyone read back in the day (lol) but definitely not Atlas =) thanks!

I want to read all the maternal Janeway fics in the world. I'm good with kidfic too, but mostly I like the canon stuff where she pets everyone and hugs scared officers (see Torres, Kes) and mentors the fuck outta them, and the fond way she speaks to Seven and the way she teases Harry. All that good stuff. Light het is ok, but I really mostly read gen.

Hello everyone,

I'm here because I'm losing my mind with desperation. I've hit the age old problem of not being able to tell if something I remember is from fanon or canon, because there's just so much of both in this fandom! And I've read so much that I can't distinguish between the two anymore!

I'm remembering this scene where Sulu is piloting the Enterprise (obv) and for some reason the ship is falling out of the sky for no particular reason (the gravitational pull or something), and they can't keep it in orbit automaticaly. So he has to sit at the helm and keep it steady in orbit, manually. And it's an insanely difficult thing to do, but he's a very skilled pilot (which is why Kirk fights for him?) and he managed to keep it perfectly steady in orbit.

And then he kind of zones out, and only zones back in a few hours later, and the shift has changed (I think) and everyone is kind of staring at him in awe because no one else would have been able to do what he's just done. And his hands are stiff and he doesn't remember anything but the focus, and it was just really impressive.

I can't remember if it was a fic? It could have been a book (of which I've read a fair few), but I have no clue and it's making me crazy.

The only thing I remember about this fic is that Spock was trying to get the science department to do their experiments in the right labs - I think the line was "Hydroponics experiments are to be conducted in the hydroponics labs, not the physics lab". The science department was not happy about it. It was probably K/S.

So I've just finished reading the incredible "West of the Moon" by Angel Baby 1 (over on ff.net). I don't want to ruin the plot becuase you seriously need to read it, but there's Jim "Baby face" Scaretta who is high on the hierachy in a mob gang.
So anything where Jim is part of the mafia, or just a gang would be much appreciated! I'm not bothered on pairings, as long as there's a focus on Jim. Preferably reboot, but will take TOS
Or failing that, fics with a focus of Jim being a criminal - guilty of petty theft, prostitution and everything else!

Hey guys. I'm looking for a specific fic where there is a disease on some planet and Kirk forbids anyone from going down there. Pike calls him and talks to him about what's going on and Kirk explains that he's giving the crew something to hate so that they can get over this tragedy. Thanks in advance for your help!
