Not necessarily in the same fic, but oh gosh...! XD

Ahem. That is to say, hi all. I've only very recently stumbled across this community, and I've suddenly found myself oops! reading through a zillion interesting tags! It's partly sniffing around the tags, and partly my own gigantic fondnesses that's got me daring to hit the fic request button. Let me elaborate a smidge... and before I do, I should probably say that I tend to imagine the TOS characters even when reading reboot 'verse stories.

So, to the first request. Some of this may well be a side effect of reboot!verse characterization, but I've read quite a few fics lately where McCoy is... well... more prickly than I expected he'd be. I know he's most definitely got a grumpy, snarky side to him, and it's a delightful thing most of the time, but I would love to read a few stories where the kinder side of his interactions with patients, crew or both! comes out. Someone's genuinely scared as heck/in pain/has fallen afoul of another doctor's monumentally stupid maneuver, say, and McCoy steps in to sort things out. That sort of thing. Basically, I'm all about the hurt/comfort with a very caring McCoy taking the lead. It *is* canon (TOS canon, anyway!) that he's got an excellent bedside manner, after all... I just can't find many fics showing the same! Bonus points if, in the course of whatever's going on, he has to (or decides to) talk his patient through what he's going to do. I *am* going to make this request a lot harder and ask that the injured party not be Spock... sorry folks.

My second request is a little more general, though not by much. I've seen a few recs for protective!Kirk and protective!McCoy stories, but I wonder, are there many fics involving a protective!Sulu out there? He is absolutely and canonically a rescuer, and I'd love to see more of that aspect of his character. I'm not too picky as to who he's keeping from harm so long as, again, the vulnerable party is preferably not Spock... not such a fan, I'm afraid. Bonus points if the person he's defending is genuinely grateful for the assist, rather than resenting it.

I'm looking for an old AU fic where Bones is recruited to be a secret agent for a top secret organization. Jim is a secret agent too...I think the group is after terrorists. If I remember correctly, Pike is in charge of the group. Spock and Sulu are agents too.

Does this fic ring a bell for anyone. It was so good and I wish I'd bookmarked it.

Are there any fics where fem!Jim never went to Starfleet Academy but she still meets the others? And maybe a Kirk/Spock pairing? Another is, are there any fics where either Jim and/or Spock ran away from home (Spock due to the bullying and Jim for a reason) and when their families see them again, they're already together? or is that one just my wishful thinking again?

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good stories where Winona is serving on another ship and comes into contact with the Enterprise i.e. she's head engineer on a ship and gives the Enterprise a hand after their battle with Nero. I don't mind what her relationship with Jim is or if they are on good or bad terms. I would prefer gen or Kirk/Spock but I'm not too bothered about pairings. Any help would be fantastic :D.

I'm looking for a fic, probably Kirk/McCoy but the bit I remember was that Sulu was in a relationship and Chekov was feeling left out so he tried to split them up I think,but was found out and Sulu was mad and Chekov ended up friends with Scotty. I think this was just a small part of a larger story

I feel bad asking again, but I just remembered another did I would love to reread and I can't find it. It's Christmas time and Jim is depressed, Nyota was bing a bitch to him, Spock was ignoring and avoiding him. Bones was upset about his daughter. Scott records Jim's drunken ramblings and replays it to the rest of the command crew. Sound familiar to anyone?

Ok so I read a fic probably a few years ago now that was based of Star Trek 09 (the reboot) at least mostly. I may be mixing some stories up in my head but the main plot thing that I remember is that Kirk somehow git sucked into what was essentially Star Fleet's Special Ops group...Their name was something dog related I think. Also there was a bit at the first where Kirk and some of the other surviving senior Cadets take over teaching some of the classes and helping out around the academy. I'm fuzzy on the specifics cause like I said it's been quite a while since I read it, I think it was Kirk/Spock eventually and at one point the spec ops people are trying to kill Kirk. I think it was pretty long, if I"m remembering right it was REALLY long. The title was somehting to do with "Dogs of War" maybe? I can't remember at all where it was posted...I wanna say LJ or FF.Net...maybe AO3 but I can't remember. I swear I had it bookmarked but damned if I can find it now. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello all.

I am desperately trying to find a long story about what happens to the bridge crew (mainly the bridge crew) after the Narada incident. It was written a long time ago, and it is a longer story. I can't remember the author or the title. I do remember a few parts from it that I will detail:

--Leonard recognizes his sister's voice in the crowd when they first disembark from the shuttlecraft, and pulls her (and his daughter) out to be with them.

--While waiting for something (to be debriefed, I think) Joanna talks to Spock about the loss of his planet, and she equates the word "implode" to a pup tent.

--There's a picnic scene where the whole Enterprise crew is in attendance

That's all I can remember at the moment, but I will add more if I think of it.

Any help anyone can give is terrifically appreciated!

hi folks I'm looking for two Spock/Kirk fics that I have been looking for forever!

1. The first one is an AU (but still has starfleet) where jim works with tech and is antisocial. He is friends with Sulu, who lives in his apartment complex. Spock shows up soon enough and is intrigued by Jim. They end up together and everything is happy. :)

2. This one I only remember one bit; Jim get hurt on a mission and Spock brings him to sick bay and Bones. He then tells Bones to save him no matter what because Jim is his mate. I think the story had a chapter or two from Bones perspective and how he felt about Jim and Spock being in a relationship.

Hello everyone,

I'm here because I'm losing my mind with desperation. I've hit the age old problem of not being able to tell if something I remember is from fanon or canon, because there's just so much of both in this fandom! And I've read so much that I can't distinguish between the two anymore!

I'm remembering this scene where Sulu is piloting the Enterprise (obv) and for some reason the ship is falling out of the sky for no particular reason (the gravitational pull or something), and they can't keep it in orbit automaticaly. So he has to sit at the helm and keep it steady in orbit, manually. And it's an insanely difficult thing to do, but he's a very skilled pilot (which is why Kirk fights for him?) and he managed to keep it perfectly steady in orbit.

And then he kind of zones out, and only zones back in a few hours later, and the shift has changed (I think) and everyone is kind of staring at him in awe because no one else would have been able to do what he's just done. And his hands are stiff and he doesn't remember anything but the focus, and it was just really impressive.

I can't remember if it was a fic? It could have been a book (of which I've read a fair few), but I have no clue and it's making me crazy.

Help?

ok, i'm apparently insane. after looking through all my bookmarks, a few friends' lj's, and ff.net to help solve another search query on here, i still can't find this story.
Kirk is a handyman at an apartment complex, where sulu lives, and one day sulu looses power so he goes down to see him. They become friends and Sulu eventually takes Jim to an academy shindig because Jim's got a cyber crush on Spock (Jim is supersmart, but also super-insecure, Sulu is a student). Spock is mean to him and Jim is very sad. They eventually become friends though and then sexytimes ensue, much later. it's kind of long.

Okay, so I know I posted a day or so ago, but I have another search. Both for Reboot Verse.

1: This is another one of those 5 +1 stories. It was something like the 5 times Jim should have been embarrassed but wasn't and then the one time he was (through the eyes of others)...or something like that. I know for a fact the first one was Chekov being all hero worshipy of Jim and Jim having to strip naked for some foreign aliens to prove something and not being ashamed. And then I think there was one through Sulu with this plan that tried to eat Jim and then he was bragging about it. And the last one, where he is embarrassed is confessing to Spock I believe. FOUND

2: This isn't a specific fic, but a general request. My mind works in odd ways and comes up with the strangest things sometimes, and one day I was wondering; what would happen is Chris and Zach met up with the characters they played on Star Trek, Kirk and Spock? So I was wondering if there were any fics like that around? Or where ST!verse K & S meet human!friends!KirkandSpock. Anything like that at all? LOL

So yeah, I hope someone can help me out, thank you ahead of time if you can ^^

I'm looking for a reboot!trek fic where Sulu is trying to hide or ignore his hot and sexy feelings for Chekov, but they're sent down alone together to an uninhabited planet to explore. Chekov has forgotten his sleeping bag so they're forced to share and sexy times ensue. (and SPOILERS for anyone else who's dying to read this fic: it turns out Chekov left his sleeping bag behind on purpose so he could seduce sulu.)

If I'm not mistaken, it also had some absurdly beautiful fanart to go along with it.

So I'm looking for a certain Reaper!Bones/Kirk story. The only parts I remember is pretty much the climatic parts so yeah. The Enterprise is sent to Mars for some reason to reopen and explore Olduvai. During their running around Bones finds the vials of C-24 on mars and there are 7 of them and takes them with him. Kirk might have been dying so Bones might have injected him with the C-24. But after all that stuff happens All of the people (scotty, sulu, Spock and bones) have a talk and Bones gives each of them 2 vials for them and their partners to do with as they please.

These are two of my favorite stories that I sadly lost when my computer decided to be a bitch and stop working.

1.) Bones has an issue with the darker side of Jim's job as Captain. This story deals with Bones having an inner conflict between his job as a doctor to protect and preserve all sentient life and having Jim, whom he is in a relationship, torture and kill sentient beings as part of his job as Captain and to protect the crew. Bones tries to put it out his mind that the man he loves is doing things that conflict with his deeply held morals until he can't and the two of them separate for a while, in which both of them are absolutely miserable. Uhura who notices what's going on because she had the same issue with Spock talks to McCoy and he and Jim end up back together. There is wonderful interaction between Spock, Kirk, Uhura, and McCoy forming all these really awesome relationships with one another. This was angst-y and I think it probably represented a lot of this doctors in military have to come to terms with. pairings: kirk/mccoy spock/uhura

2.) (Warning: This is going to get a little....disturbing) This is an asylum AU, takes place in Cali. I can't remember the exact disorders Jim and Bones are diagnosed with but I can remember some aspects. Bones is still a doctor but he liked to like kidnap people, dissect them, and keep their organs around in either a basement or bury them in jars out in the yard. He got caught when he did this to his wife and then he was committed. Jim was in the system for a really long time and his brother transferred him to this particular mental health hospital. He has delusions of being the captain of the USS Enterprise and I think suffers from multiple personality disorder. For example, when things become too much for him to process emotionally he becomes his alter ego 'Spock' and plays chess with himself. Bones doesn't really like Spock. Bones also has fantasies about cutting Jim open to see his insides. Eventually Jim and Bones escape from the hospital and Bones' fantasies about cutting Jim open get worse until they are kinda chased into the Pacific Ocean by law enforcement (remember Bones is a big danger to others). It ends kinda ambiguously with them either drowning or them getting beamed up from some hellish experience. pairings: kirk/mccoy

Sorry that these were sooo long, I just wanted to get all the details I could in there! I could also probably come up with a few more random ones if anyone isn't quite sure that they have what I'm looking for.

So, I was happily reading a wonderfully funny Reboot crackfic the other day, and since my computer crashed while I was halfway through it, I was really hoping you all could help me out. I've been wracking my brain, trying to remember what the title was, but I can't for the life of me think of it. I do, however, think I found if off crackedenterprise, though I could be wrong on that, too.

Basically, there was an all out prank war going down on the Enterprise because everyone was positively bored stiff from being forced to complete a diplomatic ferry mission. I think Sulu and Chekov had blown up the Captain's chair a few times and Kirk was somehow dyed purple. I know it wasn't "Collateral Damage," but I can't seem to find it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, since I need to finish this fic, and it's driving me insane that I can't find it!

I'm looking for fic where Kirk Prime meets reboot!Kirk or their lives somehow overlap. I'm not super picky about who travels to what universe. Added bonus is reboot!Kirk gets to meet George.

Actually, pretty much any crossover between the TOS characters and the reboot characters would make me super happy. Yup, give me anything. :)
