I'm looking for fic that has Spock and Uhura raising a kid, preferably theirs, and the kid is completely average. No complex maths at age 5, no brilliant genius artist skills, just plain old average kid, nothing special. How does Spock or even Sarek deal with this, how does the child live in a family of such overachievers and deal with the pressure? I'm looking for any genre.

A few months ago I posted a request for a specific de-aged Kirk story. I'm still looking for it.

Okay the story is Jim is de-aged by either the transporter or something down on a planet (I can't remember how exactly) and Spock finds out when he comes down to the transporter. Up until this point, Spock hates Jim because Nyota told Spock that Jim was a horrible human being. Spock actually tells McCoy in the story that he essentially thinks Jim is a horrible, immature person. Spock continues to somewhat hold this belief for 1-2 chapters in the story. (There is background Spock/Uhura in this story and Uhura actually hates when Spock begins to spend time with Jim.) Spock is also told by McCoy that Jim's mother died as the Captain of the Farrugat when Vulcan was destroyed.

As the story progresses, Jim spends time with Spock and does not like to be parted from him. Jim even manages to escape Nurse Chapel (who Jim was left with) to go up to the bridge when Spock just so happens to be talking to an Admiral. Spock chastises Jim for doing this and says children have no place on the bridge (echoing what the Admiral told Spock).

The last two chapters of the story (the last time I saw it), has Jim getting kidnapped off the ship by Orion pirates/some other set of aliens who are also holding Vulcans. Spock feels his parental instincts flair to life and goes after his "child." He finds Jim being held by a Vulcan female who is attempting to keep the child warm. When Spock gets Jim back to the Enterprise, he refuses to leave Jim's bedside. When Uhura comes in and states that he should just leave Jim, Spock states he will not and that they need to talk about their relationship.

Can anyone help me find this story? I last saw it on FF.net. (I know it isn't "You are my Sunshine.")

Hey hi hello. Looking for a family/kidfic I read at some point in the past 6 months and lost. I've been through most of the kidfic tag on AO3 and there's no sign of it. The fic I'm looking for had a Vulcan or mostly Vulcan very young child (possibly Spock's by birth but maybe not). They key scene I remember was a parental bond forming between Kirk and the child, with the help of Spock. Possibly because Spock was already bonded to the child and therefore the child's sa-mekh, after this the kid called Kirk ko-mekh, because the new bond with Kirk had taken the place of the severed bond with the kid's birth mother. When Kirk found out the translation of Ko-Mekh, he was pretty embarrassed, but it all resolved itself quite happily. It was a very cute little scene, and I think it was part of a larger story, but don't quote me on that.

If nobody can find this, I'll also take any other recommendations where Kirk and Spock adopt a Vulcan kid, as it is my absolute favorite trope and I've read most of the really well-known ones on AO3.

Preferably with a happy end, and hurtingSpock.
I really don't like bottomKirk too much, but needs must, if the story has a Spock that is suffering somehow, or something happens to them (kidnapping, break up, unrequited love..)that'll make the tears come rolling out

Hello,

I'm looking for a specific fic in the ST universe and despite my best efforts I can't find anywhere.

The Info:
- It was a medium lenght fic, not a drabble or ficlet but neither was it a novel. Probably closer to ficlet than novel.
- Kirk/Spock fic, but they do not play a big part
- Focus is on Sarek's interaction with his grandson (Kid was a result of MPreg, so 1/4 Vulcan and 3/4 human)
- I think it was a Reboot fic, because I remember Amanda not being in the picture and Sarek saying something about his new home.
- The Plot:
Kirk and Spock have to go away for a short while - a day or weekend - and leave their young son in the capable hands of his grandfather, Sarek. Sarek has been a part of the kids life and doesn't not approve of K/S union, but that doesn't mean he isn't bewildered by all of it. The fic focusses on Sarek's interaction with the child and the reader sees the story through Sarek's POV. The child itself was a lot more human than Vulcan, but it was still a mix ... so think the reverse of Spock, there are traits of both cultures in him but in the child's case his traits - both physical and mentally - lean more towards human instead of Vulcan.

It was a very fluffy and nice kid!fic that left me with a big smile on my face, so I would love it if someone could help me find it.

I'm looking for a fic where jim and the crew find some children on a ship and among them there is a vulcan child that gets attached to jim and is always grabbing his hand and doing things that are consider improper and spock warned the kid but he does not stop. Also the kid gets jealous of some kids jim is expending time with and spock warns jim that the kid could hurt him because of his vulcan strength.

I am looking for kid fics. I want fics where Spock or Kirk have a kid and have to raise them, NOT a fic where spock or kirk are the kid and have to be raised by the other or the crew, which seems to be what I find when I checked the community tags.

I read As Wise We Grow, which made me want more of these. AWESOME FIC, if you haven't read it go now and do so.

kianspo in which Sarek privately acknowledges he enjoys holding young Spock, and now I specifically want to read scenes in which Spock enjoys holding his own child.

I don't care how Kirk and Spock got the baby/child
I don't care how long the story is

I'm looking for a specific Kirk/Spock Kid!Fic. It's really spare writing that starts with a one night stand and a plotDevise!mpreg. The Kid's name is Isabelle. Kirk and Spock meet up again in the Academy, but Kirk doesn't recall the vulcan he once banged. Insert vulcan and the rest of reboot. The final scene is on the observation deck, were Kirk figures it out.

Hey guys!

1) So I'm looking for this fic that I swear I bookmarked back when I first read it -- it was eventual/preceding Kirk/McCoy wherein they had a one-night-stand before they met on the shuttle and Kirk got pregnant. Thus, when he meets McCoy again, on the shuttle, there's little 5 (?) year old Joanna sitting between them, and McCoy immediately puts two and two together and comes up with four. The story after that tells of their experience at the Academy, with Jo getting to know her other Daddy.

2) And, in connection to that, any fic where Kirk/Chris Pine gets pregnant would be awesome! Don't mind who the other Daddy is... as long as it's a Daddy and not a Mummy aka Trip in Enterprise.

3) And, finally, any de-aging fics, more specifically where Jim gets de-aged. But I'll take any and all recs, please and thank you!

It was really good, and I'm immensely peeved that I can't actually find it in my Delicious account... Any help would be much appreciated!

I have recently begun a new job working with children aged between 1 and 5 years old, and somehow I had forgotten before starting work just how smart kids really are. So I have to ask for kidfics, here's a few of the things I'd love to read.

1) Bones as a prominant if not main character
2) Kid Bones would be great, I haven't seen any fic where it's just him as a kid
3) No Spock/Kirk, unless they're the guardians of a little Bones
4) Joanna fics welcome, I have read a few but I can't remeber the names
5) Spock/Bones or Kirk/Bones much loved, genderswap included
6) No mirror verse or angst heavy fic please, Child abuse fics are ok, but only if the situation is somehow resolved and the abuser gets their cumupence!

I'm not really looking for m-preg fics, and by that I mean the actual pregnancy part, if a hild is the product of a m-preg that's fine, but I really would like fics that focus on kids, preferably younger one's and how the characters respond to them.

Also, is there a gen challenge thing around, I had an idea for a Kid!Bone's fic that I would love to offer up as a challenge to someone better able to write it.

I've recently started putting together good old-fashioned thematic lists for Star Trek, and my first one is up here and mirrored here on LJ.

I've added some that I've found through here, but I'm looking for any and all fics where a kid features prominently in the story. Whether they are their biological children, or ones they adopted, or one that was suddenly dropped on them due to whatever reason. Just...them raising kids.

I am NOT looking for de-aged fics. Those will go on a completely different thematic list.

Doesn't matter if they're gen, slash or het. Any of the Star Trek fandoms welcome. Hey guys!

So, I'm looking for this Kirk/Spock reboot fic where they find a ship with lots of Vulcan life signs on it, but too late to save them, as they're too weak to survive -- all Bones and his team can do is make them comfortable as they die on the ship that had them prisoner... I think it may have been an Orion slave ship? Anyway, they find that there's still one life-sign that's hidden, and Kirk finds it -- it's a Vulcan child who throws himself out of his hiding place and knocks Kirk unconscious by initiating a parental bond with him. Later a bond is initiated with Spock, but the bond with Kirk makes him extremely protective as the child is afraid of being taken away or of Jim leaving... I think it was a WIP, but I seem to have forgotten to bookmark it, so any help would be hugely appreciated, guys!

So, I was just perusing Star Trek: Enterprise plots and was really intrigued by how the Vulcan T'Pol had her (and another crewmember's) genetics stolen to create a hybrid child. Are there any fics in which something like that happens to Spock...and it's a kirk/spock story? TOS or Reboot, but basically a fic where Spock has no idea he's a father until the kid shows up or something. (It can either be from a past sexual encounter with OFC or stolen genetics.) Thanks!

I'm looking for something very much like So Wise We Grow, but not exactly. Basically, I remember a fic where Kirk and Spock rescue/shuttle (?) a shipful of Vulcan children - much like Breaking Points - and Kirk manages to single out a little boy who's getting picked on because he displays emotions, mostly because he's younger and hasn't learned the control yet. I remember all the Vulcan kids playing some sort of logical game of Pick Up Sticks on the floor, too. The crew of the Enterprise pretty much falls in love with Kirk's little Vulcan friend, and Scotty builds him a little chair to match Kirk's towards the end. I'm pretty sure that there's a developing relationship between Kirk and Spock throughout this whole thing, and in the end, they decide to adopt the little Vulcan.

Any other suggestions in this genre (uh, that would be the "Largely Featuring Vulcan Children") would be very much appreciated as well, especially with a side of Kirk/Spock.

So, yeah I'm looking for any fics where Kirk is being domestic, as in taking care of a kid. Be it McCoys daughter, some random vulcan child, lost baby alien or a de-aged crew member (though I think I read all of those).

I prefer it to be reboot era, but I don't mind TOS. Also, if there is a paring, I perfer slash but anything works really.
