I lost a fic from the STXI universe. It was mpreg, and I feel like the baby was the result of Frank abusing Jim, and then Jim and McCoy either had a thing at the hospital or maybe were just trauma bros? Jim was a teen, for sure. McCoy was an intern or something like that, and the doctor he was shadowing/working for was all, "See, this is an abuse case, and these are tricky, and you shouldn't get emotionally involved," and then he sighed a lot because McCoy got emotionally involved. Rather than the usual mpreg explanations, Jim was actually intersexed the whole time. Winona got called home to yell at Frank for a bit, and then I'm pretty sure the baby ended up being adopted by the McCoys and named Joanna? I also vaguely recall Captain Pike just sort of being protective over Jim and maybe trying to cheer Winona up. Oh, and it's possible somebody (McCoy?) gave Jim a bunch of antique handheld game systems, but that might be another fic.

I thought I found this fic through the kink meme's delicious, but apparently not, because none of the tags I can think of are turning it up. Thanks in advance if anybody knows what it is (and I promise I'll bookmark it this time)!

Hey there guys! I'm really hoping you can help me find this one fic. It takes place right after the enterprise escapes from the black hole created when the red matter ignites on the Romulan ship. The ship is struggling along when suddenly Kirks Mother shows up with her ship to help them. I remember such features as her complaining when he's not wearing shoes/socks and something close to "excuse me Mister outranks Mommy". It was so funny I almost peed myself. Also I believe Winona was an engineer and she hijacked her ship to come and help them.

Anyone know of this one? Thanks!

I'm looking for a fic I read a while ago, I think over on Ao3, where Chris Pike was looking after Jim and Sam Kirk. I think Winona left them with Chris, supposedly temporarily, and it eventually became permanent. I think it was an AU where Chris was a lawyer or something, and Number One worked for him. They started dating, but it never went anywhere because of the boys. They might have called Chris Ada as some point. Help?
Really, any fics where Pike raises/adopts Jim and/or his brother would be great : )

Looking for a really short fic. In it Spock met Winona Kirk while she was working on a refit for Pike and Spock was still a junior officer. While working together she gives him an irreverent crash course in handling command officers.

Now, I'm not sure if these fics actually exist, or are just prompts I saw once upon a time on the kink me...or something I dreamt. There are 3 I'm looking for

1. I swear I read a fic once where Winona and Sam were also on Tarsus with Jim but didn't make it. I can't remember much else about the fic aside from that. It could be that this was just backstory, or the fic focused on this.

2. There was a fic where Jim's reputation was blown way out of proportion and he wasn't nearly as sexually active as people said/thought he was. This could have been part of a longer fic, or part of many fics. I remember something about Uhura being the one to figure it out, but it was a Jim/Bones fic.

3. A fic where Winona was a good mother, if not very affectionate. Again, this is vague and could be a theme in many fics. I sort of remember Jim telling her that Frank hits him, and instead of not believing him or not caring, she takes care of things.

Umm...so if these aren't too vague, and something like them actually exists, I would appreciate all the help. :)

Hello all,

I am looking for a K/S fic, but the reader doesn't know its K/S until the end. Spock is on a shuttle with his son, I believe that the point of view is from Winona, who is also on the shuttle. Again, the reader doesn't really know its her until the end when Spock leaves the shuttle and is greeted by Jim. I remember that Winona could tell by the baby's eyes (and smell?) that it was Jim's son.

Any ideas?

I am looking for a fic that I forgot to bookmark. I don't remember much, but a specific scene sticks with me. Kirk has just returned to Earth after the end of the movie, and his mother and his stepfather rush up to him. One of them says, "We saw you on T.V." Kirk is disgusted because they haven't spoken in so long and they don't tell him anything about missing him or worrying about him, instead they immediately focus on the media attention Kirk is getting. Kirk is finally in a good place emotionally, and tells Winona quite forcefully that he has tried so hard to make her proud, but he is done now, and he will not spend another moment thinking about her because he doesn't need her approval anymore. It was a powerful scene! Thanks in advance!

Hi All,
I read a story a while ago, and now I can't find it for the life of me. It was a 09 verse fic about Winona's relationship with Jim. She wasn't a very good mother in it, always seeing George instead of Jim. I think it was a 5 and 1 fic or something like that, because I distinctly remember a part where she's at Sam's wedding, and she doesn't even realize Jim and Bones are married. The Enterprise crew helps Jim avoid her all evening, and Pike confronts her, I think. Anyone?

My first ever post to this comm.

I read a fic sometime early December 2011 that had me in stitches and now I can't find it again. I'm pretty sure it was in the ksarchives and I could've sworn I marked it as a favorite story but since I haven't been able to find it on said list, I'm obviously wrong.

I'm not sure if it's a drabble standalone or part of a series of connected chapetered oneshots. The part I most remember is a scene where Kirk is in Bones' office and he, Bones and M'Benga are talking about something when Winona comms Jim and says something about him that utterly horrifies Jim ("Are you even listening to what you're saying?!"), and makes M'Benga fall out of his chair laughing.

Does this look familiar to anyone?

This is my first time posting and I have been searching frantically for a specific fic. Please help.

Winona and Jim, who is 4 years old, go to a conference. Amanda, Sarek, and Spock are also there. Jim and Spock meet at the daycare. They touch hands and become bonded. There is a moment where the carer is freaking out.

Does anyone know what I am looking for?

Hi, first post so please beware of spoilers for the story I'm looking for. I don't remember if there were any pairings at all in this story. All I really can remember is that Bones from the TOS verse manages come through the black hole (I think that's how he did it) and while he was in there he was able to recover two previously thought dead people.

The two people that TOS BONES is able to retrieve are George Kirk and Amanda Grayson. Sarek pretty much flips out as much as a Vulcan can when he feels their bond reactivate. George has serious issues with Winona because of the way she's treated Jim. And that's really all I can remember.

Anyone know where I can find this please?

Hey there! I'm looking for a longish fic where the Enterprise crew is caught up in some frelling bad mission where Jim or Spock(and others) are captured, the Enterprise is damaged and They are in need of help. They might have sent out a message to the nearest Starbase and or StarFleet vessels and are waiting for a response whilst trying to figure out a rescue for their captured shipmates. The bridge crew gets an incoming message from an unexpected source, Captain Winona Kirk. Jim is very much his mothers' son.

The fact that Jim's mother was a starship captain wasn't the main point of this story but it gets to be pretty important later on, I think.

Came across this story at work a while ago, didn't bookmark it or at least print out the first page with the headers, 'cause of course I'll remember it......famous last words... The pairing is Kirk/spock I think or no pairing, just gen. Sorry I can't think of anything else. Any ideas???? Thanks in advance for checking!!!

It focused on Jim growing up, and his relationship with his family. I remember that George's parents took care of them for while, and that they never approved of Winona (there may have been some sections about how Winona and George met, and how she was a troublemaker in that time). At some point in the story, Sam and Jim are living with Frank, who I think was abusive to them. Sam decides to run away and go live with the grandparents, but he leaves Jim with Frank.

That's about all I remember.
I hope someone can help me out. This story got into my head last week and it drives me crazy not being able to find it.

I'm looking for a Reboot story written from McCoy's point of view. I'm pretty hazy on the details, though. I think it was Kirk/McCoy, but it might have been gen, I can't remember for sure. In this story, Frank was abusive to Jim when he was a child. Jim is trying to repair his relationship with his mother, and invites her and his brother George and his wife to visit. I remember an awkward family dinner. Anyway, Frank disappears with one of the kids (possibly Joanna, possible one of George's children) and Jim reacts with alarm and launches a search for them right away. Jim's mother dismisses the whole thing as unimportant, and Bones loses his temper and reads her the riot act for allowing an abuser to be alone with a child. Basically, it turns out that Frank abused Jim and tried to tell his mother about it, but she didn't believe him.

Does anyone know what story I'm talking about?

I feel like recently I've read a whole bunch of bad!winona fics, which I love, but now I'm in the mood for something different. I'm looking for reboot stories in which Jim obviously adores his mother and she is his hero because she is totally badass. Preferably something taking place after the movie, where the rest of the crew meets her, but pre-movie stuff is great too if you have some.

Also, and I'm not actually sure this exists, but is there anything with a similar scenario but with Sam instead of Winona? Mostly when I come across Sam in reboot fics it just seems to be a small mention about him running away and abandoning Jim, but I'd love anything that shows Jim looking up to his big brother/thinking he is the coolest thing ever.

kirkspock and it seems to be archived primarily there, and not on the author's LJ. It features tiny!Spock meeting tiny!Jim and a spontaneous bond forms between them when the Kelvin survivors land on Vulcan after the Narada attacks. Its an alternate!Reboot 'verse, with George Kirk and the destruction of the Kelvin occurring when Jim is four and Spock is seven. I've found parts A and B, but I was wondering...does anyone know if there are more parts to that story floating around somewhere? Thank you!
