Hey y'all. I'm trying to find a fic that I remember in which Kirk has to call someone (I think a pirate) while on the bridge. He has Uhura pull up the comm info and then says call them, then freaks out and says not to, and then has her call them before he says no again. I think the person was a pirate or someone, and they joke about how he had punched Kirk and that Kirk had left him for jail. Everyone on the bridge is kinda weirded out by the conversation and Spock asks all the questions after. Might have ties to Tarsus IV, I think Kirk was calling the pirate dude because he needed someone to get through an embargo or something similar to Tarsus, or the dude new about Tarsus, or something. I think it was a part of a longer fic but idk at this point. Any help is appreciated, thank you!!!

It's been a while since I've posted here and I'm ridiculously grateful this comm exists!

I'm not looking for a specific fic but more a type of fic. I've always seen Jim Kirk as a very powerful, charismatic character. I've always seen him as with the ability to stand up for what he thinks is right, regardless of whom he's standing up against.

I'm looking for fics in which Jim has to make a stand, as a captain of the Enterprise, that he's not going to do something, or that he's going to do something, and consequences be damned. I think he'd be standing off against the Fleet, but I'm not picky about that. I'm just looking for an assertive, righteous Kirk, who's got contingency plan upon contingency plan, just in case this sort of thing were to happen. This would tie in to the whole Genius!kirk thing.

The cherry on top of the cake would be if everyone expected Spoke to be 'reasonable' and 'sensible' and to support the Fleet because that was his job, but Spock stood with Jim regardless, because he agrees with him.

This might be a rogue!Enterprise fic, where the entire crew goes with them, or an exile fic, where Jim (and Spock) are sent away for defying the authorities, or something. Viva la revolution. Idek. Looking for something darkish, but not mirror verse. Slash is great, but if not, gen please. I don't mind which universe it's in, TOS or STXI, either is fine.

I hope this isn't nonsense, and that something even vaguely similar to this exists out there. I'd appreciate any help I could get.

The first one is short... Spock likes to swear in vulcan, not realising Kirk knows what he's saying. May be a five and one?

The second one Kirk punches Spock when he finds out Spock!Prime is dying from some vulcan disease and he was never told... It's a bit longer but not long

And the third one was a fluffy story where the Enterprise defeats a pirate/smuggler/slaver ship that turned out to be shipping baby sehlats, 214 of them? And Kirk names the one he manages to keep for Spock Vincent before he gets told it's a girl.

I read this amazing multi part fic a while ago and now for the life of me can't find it!
What I remember:
Jim gets really sick and misses an important test which means he has to swap to science track (maybe engineering?)
He was treated by bones, cue start of friendship
The two go on a training mission but their ship is captured and the remaining crew are captured and are forced into slavery
Jim manages to escape with bones and they try to make their way to the nearest settlement on the planet
Jim breaks an ankle along the way
Bones manages to get to the settlement convince people they're slaves and saves the day
Both are rewarded by starfleet - jim is allowed back onto command track and I think bones gets a promotion?
I don't think jim and bones got together but I may be wrong
I think it may have been written by quite a big writer in startrek fanfic, but I've been out if the fandom for a while and can't remember names!

Hello Star Trek fandom! It's been awhile! Therefore, I am looking for some stuff to get me back into Jim/Bones fanfic. Specifically, there is this one Tarsus fic I cannot find for the life of me and all I remember of it is Jim taking language lessons. Which, I realize, may describe MANY Tarsus fics...so send me all of them. :-D

Alternatively, any long, angsty (with happy endings) Jim&Bones centric (romantic or platonic) fics are welcome. I uh...went a little cray with the tags...but I figured instead of listing everything I like here I could just do it there. :)

I've read a WIP a while back, in which a young Spock poses as Romulan to hide in plain side&joins up with a crew of smugglers/rebels, formerly commanded by Pike, now by Kirk after Pike got badly wounded in their last fight.
Don't remember which fractions were involved, but Vulcan served as a neutral zone. Spock bought himself a place on Kirk's crew by helping them steal the Enterprise (Vulcan's new flagship) after they'd lost their own ship.

Anyone know this fic? I'd really like to find out if it ever got finished!^^

So apparently I'm on a pirate!au kick? I just need some recs for pirate fics - any that you have. I'm partial to Kirk/McCoy, Kirk/Spock, and Spock/McCoy. I've been through the pirate theme tag on here, but there wasn't a lot for it. I saved a couple that I had already read and loved, but I wanted to see if you guys had any recommendations. Hey Guys,

As the title says I'm looking for a pirate story with a kirk/mccoy. I remember in the story the guys were fighting and mccoy was injured (shot???) I'm really not sure. I know there are stories about space pirates, but this story actually takes place in the sea and I think pike was captain. Please help.
